A "casa particular" is a bed and breakfast (room and board) in a private home in Cuba.
Private citizens are allowed (meeting certain conditions and paying the required tax) to rent out rooms to tourists.
They can offer lodging and meals.
The "casa particular" offer an economical way to see Cuba and provide a quality service while allowing you to get in close contact with the Cuban people.
An experience that can't be matched by state run hotels that separate rather than unite Cubans and tourists.
Located about 106 kilometers south of Santa Clara and about 90 km from Cienfuegos, Trinidad is the best preserved colonial town of cuba. Founded in 1514 by Diego Velázquez with the name of Villa De la Santísima Trinidad. Cortés set out from here for Mexico in 1518. Trinidad remained haven for smugglers until the late 18th century. After the slave revolt in Haiti caused French planters to flee to Cuba Trinidad became a center of sugar and coffee production..
Trinidad has been declared by the UNESCO 1988 a World Heritage Site.
